When is a legless reptile not a snake? When it’s a lizard!
During a visit to the Creation Museum’s Eden Zoo, you may have the opportunity to meet Boris, our sheltopusik—one of the largest legless lizard species in the world.
But what makes him different from a snake?
There are key characteristics of legless lizards and snakes that make them uniquely different. In the video below, our zoo animal program manager, Karina, shares with you the key differences between these two creatures.
Construction is well underway for the Creation Museum’s Eden Teaching Center. This is a large complex that will include a glass conservatory, three supporting glass greenhouses, a classroom, a dig site for education programs, and an animal experience.
In addition to the construction that is currently underway on the greenhouses, work on the new animal experience area is moving along.
The new area for our animals will also include a stage for conducting live animal programs with our talented presenters. Our animal experience area allows families to get up close with a variety of animals.
Start planning your visit to the Creation Museum today, and be sure to venture through the Eden Zoo to meet our animals and learn more about them during our Keeper Chats. You can also enjoy our Animal Encounters inside Legacy Hall. Check the Daily Calendar to see what will be offered during your trip.
