Due to public health efforts to contain COVID-19, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are temporarily closed until April 20 or later.
While your family is in town visiting for Thanksgiving, take advantage of the opportunity to load the car up and head to ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum. This special event starts this Friday and runs through December 30, 2019 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
Get your camera ready as you head into the botanical gardens for our spectacular light displays! The museum grounds will be lit up in a breathtaking display of multi-colored lights. Each year, we add new designs to the garden trails. Your experience is never the same!
Step back in time as you view a realistic recreation of the events surrounding the night of our Savior’s birth. Reflect on the true meaning of Christmas as you watch Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus.
Start planning to join us for a pair of special Christmas programs we have on our calendar this year. Discover Christmas, beginning in Genesis, as you explore the true history of the world and the fulfillment of the promise God made to Eve during Christmas Truths for Families December 3–6, 2019, at 5 p.m. You’ll go through Old Testament history and clearly see Christ from beginning to end.
And on December 6, we invite you to join us for “Long Foretold,” presented by Twelve Stones Christian Academy, in Legacy Hall. It’s a unique look at the wise men and their journey to worship Jesus. This program will answer questions about the wise men such as, “Were they at the manger scene? Why did they follow the star? Why were their gifts significant?” And more!
Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Stop by the Dragon Hall Bookstore or the Legacy Store and check out our selection of apparel, stuffed animals, books, DVDs, toys, and much more. And don’t forget to shop our unique, handmade Fair Trade items as you walk through the portico. We have something for everyone on your list!
Get a spectacular view of the lights from Noah’s Café while dining on our classic turkey or pot roast dinner! The full Noah’s Café menu will also be available.
While you visit us for ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, take advantage of our holiday pricing after 5 p.m. to walk through our exhibits and save! This deal includes admission to the museum exhibits and a collectible souvenir mug with unlimited hot chocolate refills the night of your visit. Find out more on our event page.
Continue celebrating this special time of the year with a trip to our sister attraction for ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter! See the life-size Ark lit up in rainbow-colored lights, glide across the Glice® skating rink, enjoy a Christmas buffet, shop for unique gifts, meet adorable zoo animals, catch an animated show that shares a Christmas message of hope in the Answers Center, and more!
We’re excited to announce that, as a way of showing our appreciation to our neighbors, we’re offering free parking for residents in eight counties surrounding the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter (Kentucky’s Grant, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Pendleton, Gallatin, and Owen counties and Indiana’s Dearborn county). Simply show us your driver’s license, and you can enjoy free parking.
