Friday was a very exciting day for us here at the Creation Museum. We held another one of our Behind the Scenes open houses for our charter members and their guests and had 900 people come out and enjoy the day.
The day started bright and early with the museum staff and volunteers arriving at the museum around 7 am to finish last-minute things around the building. Then at 7:30 we were all able to meet in the Special Effects Theater for final instructions and, more importantly, prayer! Our first guests started arriving at 8 am, with a flood of people around 8:30.
Many of our guests were repeat attendees for our Behind the Scenes, but this time we had a couple of new things to show everyone, and they sure were impressed! Our bookstore is almost finished---the fabricators just need to finish the floor, secure all the credenzas in the center of the room and then do some small finishing touches. Also, the progress in the Graffiti Alley, Culture in Crisis and Time Tunnel rooms really excited our museum members!
Other highlights for this Behind the Scenes were Tims presentation concerning Noahs Ark and Joels presentation of a 3-D virtual tour they are working on for the museum. Also, Earl Snellenberger and Jon Taylor held book signings near the bookstore.
A few of our guests left some feedback about the day, and I wanted to share it with you:
Supporter from Georgia: This is so inspiring! To see Bible-Believing Christians standing tall on Gods Word! From the first verse!
Supporter from Michigan: Ken can't help but communicate the truth non-stop! Greatest investment we've ever made (next to tithe)!
A big thanks goes out to the 15 volunteers who helped on Friday. You guys do such a great job and we really appreciate your willingness to work hard!
We also had nine of our members guests sign up to become charter members of the museum. Our next Behind the Scenes is coming up in July. If you are a charter member of the museum and would like to sign up to attend, please contact Sam Dingus at 800-350-3232 ext. 430.
