The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. (Psalm 19:1)
Genesis 1:14-15 lists several purposes of the heavenly bodies. One of these purposes is to mark the passage of time. In this activity, we will use celestial globes to see how the stars change throughout the night and throughout the year. We also will see how the sun’s position changes throughout the day and throughout the year. These God-ordained changes and their purpose to measure time will become real to participants. We also will see how the sky looks different at varying locations on earth, providing a way to determine where we are.
Exclusive workshops can be booked for groups (subject to availability). Please email our Programs Team for more information.
