Join us at Caesar Creek Lake in Warren County, Ohio as we embark on an exhilarating expedition to hunt for fossils. Answers in Genesis paleontologist, Dr. Gabriela Haynes, will lead this one-day excursion to one of the most popular fossil-hunting locations in the region.

This exciting, hands-on experience includes special geology presentations and personal instruction from Dr. Haynes. Enjoy fellowship with other fossil enthusiasts in a beautiful state park that offers a variety of additional recreational activities.

Please note that Caesar Creek Lake is located a moderate distance from the museum (view map), about a 75-minute drive. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. The program will start promptly at 8:45 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m.

Due to the technical content of this event, we strongly recommend that children be at least 11 years old to attend.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult for the duration of the excursion.

Q: Can my child under the age of 18 attend without an adult?
A: No. All participants ages 11–17 must attend with an adult participant.

Q: Is lunch provided?
A: Yes, lunch is included in the price of your registration.

Q: If I am unable to attend, can I get a refund?
A: We are happy to refund any Explore registrations if your request is made at least 21 days before the date of the program. Due to the amount of preparation each day necessitates, we are unable to provide refunds within 21 days of the program date. For refunds, please contact Reservations at (800) 721-2298.

Q: Are there any registration discounts?
A: No, there are no discounts for lifetime members, annual members, or staff members.

Q: Can I register children under the minimum age?
A: No. Due to the rigorous content and complexity of activities, students need to be a minimum age of 11 years old by the date of the program.

Dr. Gabriela Haynes: Dr. Haynes earned her PhD in Geology/Paleontology from the Federal University of Ceará State in Brazil. She serves in Answers in Genesis’ Research Department.
