From cute, little hedgehogs to massive camels, Explore Jr. Zoology offers an in-depth look at a variety of animals in God’s creation. Learn about animal kinds and study animal behavior through close-up animal encounters with our trained zoologists.

Open to students ages five to ten. *One parent is required to accompany their children.

Explore Jr. is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Explore Jr. is on a two-year rotating schedule. Each Explore Jr. includes three hands-on, interactive sessions. The yearly topics are provided in the schedule below.

Each student registered for two or more Explore or Explore Jr. programs between September 2025 and April 2026 will receive two free Butterfly House tickets.
