Explore Jr. Botany

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” (Genesis 1:11)

Did you know there are over 369,000 flowering plants in the world? God created a wide variety of plants to produce after their kind. Explore Jr. Botany will investigate the beauty and design of the plant kingdom through interactive sessions and guided experiences in the museum gardens.

Open to students ages five to ten. *One parent is required to accompany their children.

Explore Jr. is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Explore Jr. is on a two-year rotating schedule. Each Explore Jr. includes three hands-on, interactive sessions. The yearly topics are provided in the schedule below.

• $49.98 includes one parent and one child age five to ten (museum general admission is not required and not included).
• $24.99 for each additional child (museum general admission is not required and not included).
• Includes all scheduled events and parking fee.
