Story of Creation

Did God really create the earth, stars, animals, plants, and humans in six literal days? Or should we understand the account of creation in Genesis 1 as a metaphor? Doesn’t science conflict with the Bible’s story of creation? The Creation Museum answers these and many other questions about the Bible and science.

Day One of Creation

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. . . . Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1–3)

Creation Day Two

Day Two of Creation

“Then God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’” (Genesis 1:6)

Day Three

Day Three of Creation

“And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind.” (Genesis 1:12)

Day Four of Creation

“Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.” (Genesis 1:16)

Day Five

Day Five of Creation

“So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind.” (Genesis 1:21)

Day Six

Day Six of Creation

“And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind. . . . Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image.’” (Genesis 1:25–26)

Science Confirms the Bible’s Story of Creation

What evidence would you expect to see today if the account of creation as written in the Bible were true? We would expect to see evidence of a young earth (an earth that’s only about 6,000 years old) that was clearly designed by an awesome God, though laboring under the consequences of sin and the Curse of Genesis 3. And that’s exactly what we see. Discover the evidences with us at the museum and learn that good science begins with a proper understanding of God’s Word.
