In this exhibit, get real answers about your identity from the one who created you himself! Immersive sculptural art, stunning light effects, and interactive exhibit features will make discovering the truth about how God designed you as impactful and deeply personal as the questions the exhibit answers.

Identity According to God’s Design

The Radiance exhibit at the Creation Museum will be an enlightening and inspiring walk through the answers that God’s design provides for our identity. Every person God created has immeasurable worth and a unique way of fulfilling his purpose for them.

If you feel like your identity doesn’t fit neatly inside of one of the categories the world offers, there may be a good reason for that. The categories we are offered by mainstream philosophy, media, and influencers are often focused on just one small part of who we are as a whole. And, in many cases, those pieces of our identity are further confused by the brokenness of our sinful world.

Only God’s complete and carefully crafted design makes sense of all the aspects of who we were meant to be.

A Narrative Art Installation

In this exhibit, glass tells the story. Because identity is not something that can be expressly illustrated, like an ark or a garden, we chose immersive, abstract sculpture to support this exhibit’s narrative.

The transformation of the glass throughout the exhibit traces the path many follow as they seek answers about their true identities, through a hurricane of confusing messages via media screens, to the shattered wreckage left behind when identity questions fail to be answered by popular platitudes.

Finally, the broken glass is reconstructed into an illuminated sculpture-room, reflecting on the beauty of an identity redeemed and restored to God’s design and made to shine the glory of his reflection.

Answers Grounded in Reality

Identity may be abstract to represent visually, but God’s truth about the topic is refreshingly concrete.

If the world’s answer of “everything goes” seems vague, unhelpful, and even dangerous to you, then you can explore solid answers about how our identities were intended to be lived out. In the Radiance exhibit, you’ll discover the truth about where each person’s value and purpose come from, consider how God’s purposeful creation of each person as male or female affects your overall identity, and finally, dive into what it means to be made in the image of God and how knowing his character should shape our lives.

Relatable Characters

Radiance is our first exhibit written for young teens! Throughout the exhibit, audio narration, short-form content, first- and second-person narratives, custom animations, and bonus video content linked to QR codes will address a deeply philosophical topic via practical, conversational engagement.

In two exclusive animations created just for the exhibit, you can follow along as a young girl named Grace discovers that the answers to who she is and who she can be are all found in her Creator.

Interactive Exhibit Features

Signage with hidden text that you can reveal with the touch of a button and a fully interactive station that allows you to create a work of art with light prisms both invite you to participate in the very personal questions of how your God-given identity can uniquely influence this world.
