What happens at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter while we’re closed every Sunday–Tuesday during the winter? Well, on Mondays and Tuesdays, our staff members are hard at work upgrading exhibits, completing maintenance, and making repairs from all the wear and tear we receive from the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year.
In the following photos, staff are installing extra lighting in the stunning Fearfully & Wonderfully Made exhibit, adding some digital signage, and upgrading wiring.
If you visited the Creation Museum in the last few months, you might have noticed that the large waterfall aquarium in the Main Hall shut down. After nearly 16 years of operation, it needed complete refurbishing with new pumps, a filter system, gravel, and extensive cleaning.
But there’s even more happening during our closed days. A few weeks ago, law enforcement personnel from many other states (and other countries) and our public safety team conducted K9 training exercises at the Ark Encounter.
As you can see, we’re very busy the first two days of each work week with exciting projects, upgrades, and more! Spring hours begin March 8, so be sure to check our website for all the details and consider purchasing a bouncer pass to see both attractions.
