It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here at the Creation Museum, so it’s time to start making your plans to visit our 14th annual ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum! This year’s event will run Wednesday through Sunday evenings from November 26 through December 19, 2021, and every evening from December 20–30 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) from 5–8:30 p.m. each night.
Here’s a glimpse of what you will experience when you join us to celebrate this special time of the year.
Your ChristmasTown adventure will begin in the Garden of Lights in our beautiful botanical gardens! Stroll through the gardens amid the breathtaking display of thousands of multi-colored lights. Each year, we add new designs and more color throughout the garden trails, so your experience is never the same!
Step back in time as you view a realistic recreation of the events surrounding the night of our Savior’s birth at our live nativity. Reflect on the true meaning of Christmas as you watch Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus (Thursday through Sunday nights).
If your family likes to visit skating rinks during the Christmas season, you won’t want to miss taking a spin on the Glice® rink, which has a type of synthetic ice that acts just like real ice. It allows you to skate regardless of the temperature. That means you can enjoy skating even if we have a warm night in Northern Kentucky during this event.
The Eden Animal Experience is a fun place for children and adults to enjoy close encounters with our unique animals, including a wallaby, goats, alpacas, and more. And during ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, you’ll be able to enjoy the zoo under the lights!
Get a bird's-eye view of the colorful lights of ChristmasTown as you soar down the Screaming Raptor Zip Line’s special 3-line Christmas course. Zip line tickets are also available upon arrival (first come, first served).
Head into the Creation Museum and catch our spectacular Encounter the Wonder show inside our 4D Special Effects Theater. Beginning with Genesis, Encounter the Wonder shares how God created a perfect world, how sin marred that very good creation, and how Jesus came as our Savior. It’s the gospel message, beginning in Genesis.
The 3D glasses and special effects bring this stunning program to life, helping families marvel over the beautiful plan of salvation that began in a garden 6,000 years ago. The 3D in this theater will amaze you—and be prepared for some surprises!
What was the mysterious “star in the east” that heralded the birth of Jesus and guided the wise men? Discover the truth about this special star in The Christmas Star at our 4K Stargazer Planetarium show with stunning 3D scenes!
Warm up with a cup of cocoa and other tasty treats or get a spectacular view of the lights while enjoying a delicious ham or turkey dinner from the heated deck at Noah’s Café (closing at 7 p.m. each night)!
Shop for one-of-a-kind, artisanal gifts in our large fair-trade market, and find apparel, stuffed animals, books, DVDs, and much more inside our Dragon Hall Bookstore!
Continue celebrating this special time of the year with a trip to our sister attraction for ChristmasTime at the Ark! See the life-size Ark lit in rainbow-colored lights, sing along to classic Christmas carols with Southern Salvation in the Answers Center, enjoy seasonal foods and festive treats, shop for unique gifts, meet adorable zoo animals, and more!
Save the date and start making your plans today to bring the whole family out for an unforgettable holiday evening! Be sure to share your favorite ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum photos with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
