Due to public health efforts to contain COVID-19, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are temporarily closed until April 20 or later.
Christmas is just around the corner! Last week, we began celebrating ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum with our guests. This free, family-friendly event (you only pay for parking), gives you the opportunity to surround yourself with the breathtaking multi-colored lights display as you walk through the museum’s Eden Botanical Gardens.
Stroll through the museum’s botanical gardens amid the stunning display of thousands of lights. Each year, we add new designs and more color throughout the garden trails, so your experience is never the same! Catch a glimpse of what you will experience as you walk through the Garden of Lights in these pictures from past ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum events.
See the brand-new life-size Spinosaurus and Styracosaurus steel sculptures, lit up with festive lights. The steel sculptures are impressive, at 40 feet long by 11 feet high for Spinosaurus and 18 feet long and 7 feet high for Styracosaurus.
After you walk through the Garden of Lights during ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, catch a glimpse of the amazing events that surrounded our Savior’s birth with our live nativity. After that, meet our animals in the Eden Animal Experience, enjoy a Christmas concert inside Legacy Hall, do a little shopping, and so much more. Entrance to ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum is free starting at 5 p.m. (You only pay for parking).
During your visit to ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum, take advantage of our holiday pricing after 5 p.m. to walk through our exhibits and save! This deal includes admission to the museum exhibits and a collectible souvenir mug with unlimited hot chocolate refills the night of your visit. Find out more on our event page.
Continue celebrating this special time of the year with a trip to our sister attraction for ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter! See the life-size Ark lit up in rainbow-colored lights, glide across the Glice® skating rink, enjoy a Christmas buffet, shop for unique gifts, meet adorable zoo animals, catch an animated show that shares a Christmas message of hope in the Answers Center, and more!
As a way of showing our appreciation to our neighbors, we’re offering free parking for residents in eight counties surrounding the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter (Kentucky’s Grant, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Pendleton, Gallatin, and Owen counties and Indiana’s Dearborn county). Just show us your driver’s license, and you can enjoy free parking.
