How to Turn Ordinary Pennies into Works of Art

by Creation Museum on August 31, 2017

We are excited to announce that we have recently installed three new penny press machines at the Creation Museum. These allow you to turn your pennies into collectible memories. From the museum to the zip lines and from a telescope to dinosaurs, each machine features four designs with popular themes and attractions representing your museum experience.

Fun For All Ages

With a hand crank device that is fun for all ages, you can press your pennies in three simple steps. First, turn the handle until the red arrow for your desired engraving lines up with the “Your Engraving” arrow.

Next, insert your two quarters and penny into the machine. Then, turn the handle six to eight times until your penny slides into the dish below.

Collect All 12

The Creation Museum is home to three penny press machines. Currently, two can be found in the portico, just down from the Guest Services Information Center, and the third one is located in Palm Plaza. For a unique souvenir, collect all 12 before you head home!

Show Off Your Pennies

If you are looking for a way to display your pressed pennies, we have two unique options in the Dragon Hall Bookstore. Take home one of our collector’s books with a slot for each of our pennies or try a rubber-molded wristband that displays just one pressed penny at a time.
