A Successful Run

This Saturday saw the successful running of the Creation Museum's first 5K run, the Raptor Run!

Early in the morning the first runners began to arrive.

By the time registration and check-in had been completed 55 runners were present, a good showing for the first race of its kind at the Creation Museum.

Many runners took time to stretch and warm up before the race began.

The day was a beautiful, crisp, fall day, though some were a tad chilly before they began to run.

And they were off (with plenty of family and friends to cheer them on)!

The race course ran on back roads near the Creation Museum where trees lining the roads looked especially beautiful in their fall colors.

A water station was set up at the turn around point, staffed by volunteers!

Every runner finished the race, often to the applause of spectators.

Even if they were tired, the runners still had fun.

A hard working team of volunteers kept track of the times as runners finished. Our first place finisher was Stephen P., with a time of 20:28.
