Chilly Days Ahead Make For Cool Activities

by Creation Museum on January 13, 2009

Frigid temperatures are here for a few days in the Greater Cincinnati area, but we're not going to let that get us down! There's a lot to do in the tri-state (Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana), and here are just a couple of ideas that you can combine with a trip to the Creation Museum during the winter...

Snow

Perfect North Slopes

Just 10 miles from the Creation Museum in neighboring Southwest Indiana, Perfect North Slopes offers skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. For those of you who have never been skiing, lessons are available. Be sure to check out their website, www.perfectnorth.com, for more information.

Fountain Square Ice Rink

Available, weather permitting, through February 22! The Fountain Square ice rink is located in the center of the recently redesigned Fountain Square, in downtown Cincinnati. At 7,000 square feet, it is about the size of the rink at New York's Rockefeller Center.

Amenities include skate rental, lockers, benches, and a heated tent with vending machines for snacks and drinks. Hot drinks and sweets are available at Graeter's—one of Cincinnati's trademark dessert establishments. Fountain Square is just a 30 minute drive from the Creation Museum.

And more...

Perfect North Slopes and the ice rink at Fountain Square are just two of the many winter activities within minutes of the Creation Museum. For a complete listing of things to do in Cincinnati, visit the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network website—www.CincinnatiUSA.com.
