SPRING???

by Creation Museum on April 6, 2007

Wow! What an incredible month March was. The number of projects that are being worked on outside is amazing. Some of the projects are being completed by outside contractors, but many are being completed by our own staff and volunteers. The picnic pavilions are in place and with the help of a great youth group, we were able to install many of the retaining walls that surround them. Some of the other construction projects include the new parking lot, deck platform for the new gazebo, pergola, plaza staircase, trail construction, bathroom construction, irrigation and electric lines.

For the most part the weather has been perfect for outdoor work. We have enjoyed a couple of weeks of extremely warm temperatures which has really made our plantings come to life. Unfortunately a severe cold spell has set in on us. Monday, temperatures were near 80 degrees and just twenty four hours later we were at a high of 41 degrees, with lows expected to be near the mid-twenties.

Last week everywhere you looked on the property you saw something in bloom. The Yoshino cherry trees were beautiful, and after they faded out we had another variety bloom near our new courtyard.

The thousands of daffodils that were planted over the last 2 years have also been spectacular! I will leave you with several pictures of the many blooming plants that we have been enjoying for the last two weeks; I hope you enjoy them as well. Please continue to pray for the entire staff here as we work to finish the Museum.

Again, thank you for your prayers and support.
