Events and Programs Update

by Creation Museum on March 12, 2007

We are hard at work in the Events and Programs Department planning for the Grand Opening on May 28th. We have weekly meetings to keep each other updated and make sure all the details are falling into place. We want the Creation Museum’s Grand Opening to be a unique and exciting event, and we are doing everything possible to make sure that happens. Some of the highlights of the day will include face painting and balloon animals. Since May 28th is Memorial Day, we are working on a few ideas to celebrate and remember those who served our country. Our department is also working with the sales department on packages and activities for families and groups. Starting in fall 2007, we hope to offer some great packages and educational programs that will be for the whole family.

Monday, April 16th is the start of our Guest Services training, and we are putting together the details for their first week. We have lined up several AiG speakers to talk with the new employees and for 2 of the days we will be at Potter’s Ranch in Union, KY going through the Zig Ziglar Training System. This training will be very beneficial for guest services, and we hope to have their first week be a great start to their experience at the Creation Museum. The next Creation Museum golf outing is scheduled for Monday, April 30th and will be held at the Cardinal Club in Louisville, KY. This golf outing is a fundraiser for the Museum, and we are expecting about 100 people. For more information, please visit www.creationmuseum.org/go/golf-classic
