Dedications

On Saturday, July 15, we held a dedication ceremony for the Stargazers Room Planetarium and Dragon Hall Bookstore. We had almost 90 guests in attendance---Answers in Genesis leadership staff as well as the friends and family of the individuals who donated the money to fund these areas.

First we held the dedication for the Stargazers Room Planetarium. After the first public viewing of the new planetarium program, Mike Zovath, VP of the Creation Museum, spoke about his vision for the planetarium 10 years ago. Then we presented the Manthei Foundation with thank-you gifts for their generous donation that completely funded the planetarium!

After a quick walk through the construction areas of the museum, the group gathered in front of the Dragon Hall Bookstore for the dedication ceremony and presentation of a plaque to Tim and Master Books / New Leaf Press. Patrick, the museum’s director of exhibit development, spoke about the design of the bookstore, and then we opened the curtain to reveal the newly completed bookstore.

What an amazing place! Room by room, gallery by gallery, we are nearing completion. Spring of 2007 is just around the corner!
