Open house to remember!

by Creation Museum on April 14, 2006

Today, Debbie, museum membership assistant, shares her thoughts about last Friday's Behind the Scenes open house.

The flowers were in bloom and the rain was on hold for the first Charter Member Behind the Scenes open house (BTS) of the year this past Friday! What an exciting time it was as Charter Members got their first look at the construction progress since October of last year. We had 804 Charter Members and their guests at this BTS---the largest number ever at the Creation Museum!

Before we take a glimpse of what the members were able to experience on Friday, I want to say a special thank you to three of our volunteers---Pam, Joy and Debbie---for helping me set up all the name tags for registration on Thursday. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

Many members came wearing their museum membership shirts, one of the many benefits you receive when you become a Charter Member. There were more perks to the day as members were able to watch the artists in action, along with another favorite---getting pictures taken with Ken Ham! A special talk was given by Tim, creative consultant and Ark specialist, on Noah's Ark. Many also had lunch in Noah's Café, went home with books from the bookstore and enjoyed walking around the nature trails. Many photos were taken by all.

The museum is for people of all ages! Even last week a young girl came up and offered the few dollars she had to support this endeavor.

When? … is almost here! There are only two more BTS events left in 2006 (May 19th and July 28th). We hope to see many more members then!

Before I sign off I want to thank another volunteer, Clancy. He went around the museum keeping the staff well fed with snacks and drinks during our busy day.

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend with family and friends celebrating our Risen Savior!

Thanks again for joining us. We appreciate all of your prayers and support for the museum.
