Today, Carole, one of our Volunteer Tour Guides (VTG), shares how she came to learn about the ministry and began volunteering.
I am so pleased to be a volunteer at Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum. I have been a follower of the ministry from the time it began the first radio broadcasts. When I wanted to purchase some materials offered I was surprised to learn the ministry was located (at that time) on Dixie Highway in Kentucky. So my friend, Myrna---who is also a VTG---and I drove to the bookstore and made our purchases. I continued to follow the ministry and even did my first volunteer work when they were located at Industrial Park Road. When I learned the Creation Museum was going to be built in Kentucky, at the Petersburg exit, I was thrilled! It is close enough to my home in Indiana that I knew immediately I wanted to work there in some capacity.
Since I have been a VTG, I have met so many dedicated staff members who share the same love for the ministry as I do. Last summer I was privileged to work at most of the Behind the Scenes Open Houses and met many wonderful visitors from all over the United States and even other countries.
I’m always telling my friends and neighbors how fortunate we are to have this international ministry located right here in our own “backyard!”
God has blessed AiG with many faithful friends and through their prayers and support the Creation Museum has become a reality. When I think of how far the ministry has come and all that has been accomplished it reminds me of the words of the Apostle Paul, to paraphrase Ephesians 3:20: God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or even imagine.
To God be the glory!
Thanks again for joining us. We appreciate all of your prayers and support for the museum.
