Over the last two weeks there has been plenty of activity at the museum. The grounds crew has been plowing snow, working on the waterfalls and preparing to plant over 9,000 bulbs for the spring (sounds kind of funny to be planting spring bulbs in the snow---they may need to use a drill!).
Inside, the fabrication team has been working hard to finish the tables for the café, which has been decorated for Christmas, along with building the bookcases for the bookstore. The drywall team has been installing drywall in the bookstore, Grand Canyon area and outside the reception area to get display cases ready to showcase exhibits.
On Saturday, December 10, we had a book sale in the lobby and over 500 people came. They purchased books and toured the museum. The Volunteer Tour Guides had so much fun taking everyone around the museum and hearing the excitement they have for the museum. There were also individuals who had never been to the museum and they were amazed by all they saw.
Thanks again for joining us. We appreciate all of your prayers and support for the museum.
