Wondering about what to expect when you visit the Creation Museum? The state-of-the-art Creation Museum allows you to venture through biblical history, stunning exhibits, botanical gardens, planetarium, zoo, zip line adventure course, and much more.
I’m going to the Creation Museum! When we first get there, we’re going to talk to one of the nice staff members who will help us park. We may have to wait in line to park. I can be patient.
After we park, I will go through the Welcome Center. It may be loud, and I will have to go through a gate that may beep to make sure I’m safe. The nice security guard may look in our bags, but I will be calm while they try to help us. After this, I may hear a lot of beeping noises from people getting checked into the museum.
After I leave the Welcome Center, I may go see the gardens! My group can take me down the paths to see the different parts of the gardens. There are many pretty plants I can see and bridges I can walk on, and I can even look for hidden dinosaurs!
My group may take me to the playground. I can meet new friends, play on the slide, and ride the zip line. I’ll make sure to wait my turn if there are other kids in line, and I will be friendly to other kids.
When I get to the zoo, I will see many of God’s creatures. I can look at all the animals, but I’ll make sure not to touch them unless my group says I can.
By the zoo, I can go inside the large glass conservatory! In here, I will see many different plants that I can find in the Bible. I’ll make sure not to touch the plants.
When I get to the front of the museum, I will see a big dinosaur! I can stop and get a photo with it.
My group may take me to the planetarium, where I will get to learn about space! If I see one of the shows, I’ll try to be quiet to respect others watching the show.
If we go to the café to eat, I’ll be patient and wait my turn to get my food. I can look at the dinosaur prints and fossils in the floor.
When I go to the special effects theater, I will sit and watch a show. I will have glasses given to me, and I’ll be careful not to twist the frames. I’ll put on the glasses when I sit down, and I will sit still so I won’t miss when the seat vibrates during the show.
When I start going through the exhibits, I’ll see a video telling me about worldviews. I can watch this with my group.
When I go into the Biblical Authority room, I will learn about many of the people in the Bible. This room is darker, so I’ll have to stick close to my group. There is a lot of reading in this room, so I’ll have to take my time and be patient around many people.
After I go through the Biblical Authority room, I’m going to enter a large brick room that looks like a warehouse. I can look at all the paintings on the wall and try to find the telescope on the second floor.
When I get to the Creation Walk, I will see what the garden of Eden may have looked like. I will make sure to stay on the path so I don’t trip on anything.
The next room I’ll go into can be loud and scary. I’ll be brave and stay with my group as I go through.
The next room will have a big animatronic dinosaur called a Utahraptor. He may move around, and I can look at him, but I shouldn’t touch him. It may also be crowded in this room, so I’ll be careful around others.
If I go into Legacy Hall, I may get to sit and watch a show with a lot of people. I’ll try to be quiet and listen to the show and respect others.
While I’m on the lower level, I can see the Borderland exhibit. In here, I get to see Roman soldiers’ armor and the clothing people wore during Jesus’ time. It may be crowded, so I’ll stay with my group.
In the next room, I get to learn about how I started my life. I can see the models and learn what sizes I used to be before I was born.
When I go to the dino den, I will see many types of cool dinosaurs. I can also learn all their names.
When I get to the bookstore upstairs, I can see all the dragons and knights displayed close to the ceiling. It may be busy, so I’ll stay with my group and try not to touch any of the items for sale without my group’s permission.
After I’ve seen everything, I’ll leave with my group. When I get home, I can tell other people I know about everything I saw.
