Blind and Yet She Sees–Fanny Crosby’s Life and Work

Back to Presentations

Fanny Crosby was an American hymnist and poet who lived from 1820 to 1915. Despite being blind from infancy, Crosby wrote over 8,000 hymns and gospel songs, many of which are still popular. She became one of the most prominent figures in American hymnody, and her compositions are still sung in churches around the world. Crosby's songs focus on faith, hope, and salvation and still touch the hearts of many today.
