No programs are scheduled at this time.

This program is designed to teach international-style target archery to children in 4th through 12th grades (ages 9–18) using lessons developed by the National Archery in Schools Program®. Developed for use in school physical education classes, the core content covers archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, core strengthening physical fitness, and self-improvement (read about the NASP mission). Before presenting the course, instructors undergo an eight-hour NASP Basic Archery Instructor Training Program.

During this program at the Creation Museum, children will learn eleven consecutive steps to follow to achieve life-long archery success. These steps will guide the archer from initial form on the shooting line, through execution and reflection of each shot. Archers will use state-of-the-art Genesis bows by Mathews, Inc. Each bow is designed to fit any child. Participants shoot at 80-cm bulls-eye targets placed before an arrow curtain.

The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) brings the sport of archery to millions of students in schools across the United States and various other countries. Visit the NASP website to find contacts in your area when you go home!

We would like to thank Matt McPherson of Mathews, Inc. for partnering with us on this archery program.

One free observer space is available for each purchased ticket. Contact us with any questions you may have.
