For many of us living in the Greater Cincinnati area, to come across a fossil in our own backyards is no big deal. But for many of our guests, fossils are a rarity; therefore, for the past several years, the Creation Museum has offered a fossil hunt to our members, but non-members are invited along as well. What makes this fossil hunt really unique is the chance to hear Dr. Andrew Snelling do a special geology presentation and give personal instructions on this one-day excursion to one of the most popular fossil-hunting locations in the region. Participants meet at Caesar Creek Lake in Warren County, Ohio, which is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the museum. This exciting hands-on experience is scheduled for October 10, so if you are interested, hurry and get registered!
Check in is at 8:30 AM, and lunch will be provided. After the hunt, which wraps up around 2:00 PM, our guests will have time to enjoy the state park (it has 43 miles of hiking trails) or other area attractions during this beautiful fall time of the year.
