Enjoy an after-hours event exploring some of God’s most amazing stellar creations.
This popular program begins with a devotion by astrophysicist Dr. Jason Lisle, followed by a private showing of one of our popular planetarium presentations. Then, Dr. Lisle will lead an exciting outside journey through the night sky examining constellations, stars, globular star clusters and more using several powerful telescopes.
If the skies are cloudy, Dr. Lisle will facilitate a unique indoor teaching session utilizing the digital projector and domed ceiling of the Planetarium. Either way, this will be a one-of-a-kind journey through the cosmos that you will thoroughly enjoy and not soon forget.
Photography workshops take place seasonally at the Creation Museum. These programs are led by award-winning photographers Martin and Deb Minnard, who serve on staff at the Creation Museum. The Minnards bring more than fifty years combined experience in general, wedding, portrait, commercial, and aerial photography to their teaching.
In the spring and summer, you’ll be able to enjoy the many flowers in the Creation Museum’s beautiful Botanical Gardens. Fall workshops will focus on beautiful autumn color, and the winter workshop highlights our amazing display of Christmas lights. Each workshop includes a time of photography and a time of critique with the instructors. Some programs also include image editing tips.
The Raptor Run 5K takes place at the Creation Museum each fall. Light refreshments before the race are included, along with a unique T-shirt, finisher’s medal, and free admission to the Creation Museum on the day of the race for participants. The 2010 Raptor Run is scheduled to take place October 23, 2010. For more information please visit the registration site.
The 2010 Raptor Run is sponsored by L&N Credit Union.
Children ages 3–8 are invited to join us for Dino-Mite Readers at the Creation Museum. This free program is an interactive and engaging reading time featuring Christian and Creation children’s books from the Museum’s own Dragon Hall bookstore.
Monthly themes are designed to help reinforce concepts found throughout the museum for our youngest visitors. Reading time is offered Sunday through Friday at 2:00 p.m.
Presentations from the Answers Speaker Series are available each day that the Creation Museum is open. Most days you will be able to experience one of Answers in Genesis’s dynamic speakers examining the relevance of Genesis in today’s world. Why do people no longer believe the Bible is true? Why is the Christian worldview crumbling? How does unbelief in the history of Genesis undermine the authority of Scripture and the Gospel? Our speakers seek to answer these questions (and more) to equip you with biblical and scientific knowledge that shows Genesis is true history and is foundational to Christianity. Some days, you may be treated to a concert from singer/songwriter Buddy Davis or a DVD presentation featuring one of our speakers.
