The Creation Museum’s Guest Services Team is ready to assist you with any needs during your visit to the Creation Museum. The Guest Services Information Center is located in the Portico, near the building’s main entrance. If you have questions during your visit, look for staff members—they will be happy to assist you.
If you have questions regarding the locations of museum features, please reference our interior map (PDF) or museum grounds map (PDF).
We have many handicapped spaces available in our main parking lot. If you need assistance finding an available handicapped space, alert the individual directing traffic.
Ramps are located at every entrance and exit door to the Creation Museum. The first entrance features an automatic door.
All restrooms throughout the facility and grounds are handicapped accessible. Wheelchair accessible water fountains are also available near the main interior restrooms.
Virtually every exhibit is handicapped accessible. A series of gradual ramps take visitors through the Creation Museum’s main exhibits. This one-way path passes through all of the Walk-Through Biblical History and ends on the lower level, where you can bring an elevator back to the main level.
The mezzanine level of the Dinosaur Den is only accessible via stairs. However, an interactive display on the lower level provides a virtual tour of the mezzanine level including high quality pictures, enhanced sign graphics, and interactive children’s displays.
All theaters are handicapped accessible—the Special Effects Theater, Planetarium, and Last Adam Theater include wheelchair locations and companion seats. See a theater attendant for more information about reserving these spaces.
The Botanical Gardens feature a paved nature trail that is over a half-mile in length including six bridges and a boardwalk. All of the bridges (except for the suspension and floating bridges) are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
With the exception of the center interactive pen (which has a sand surface), all of the zoo’s pens are fully viewable via paved trails.
The Creation Museum exhibits are very visual and as you walk through them, you will find many video screens with open-captioned, short, educational videos. Much of the audio content in the museum is available visually in the exhibits. Many of our Deaf guests say they enjoy the museum exhibits and learn a great deal from them even without an interpreter.
Closed captioning is available upon request for all Stargazers Planetarium shows. Ask about adding captioning for your show(s) when you purchase your tickets. Copies of transcripts are available upon request for the Men in White, Last Adam, and Dragon Legends presentations.
The Dragon Hall bookstore has a list of DVDs with captioning that are available for purchase. Ask a sales associate for more information.
The Petting Zoo and Botanical Gardens tour is available in text form online. Visit http://myoncell.mobi/18593946048 on your smart phone as you walk through the grounds.
If you would like an ASL interpreter on your visit, we would like to assist. Please contact us at least one month in advance to request an interpreter (subject to availability). For Deaf groups, one interpreter is usually sufficient. If tactile services are needed, please let us know as far in advance as possible.
If you are providing an interpreter(s) for your own group, you may contact us so we can assist you with information and explore any necessary accommodations for your group.
During the annual Creation Museum Deaf Day, ASL interpreters and Deaf volunteers are available throughout the museum to answer questions, assist with ticket purchases, interpret the shows and lectures, and more!
Restrooms and elevators are marked in Braille to assist with finding your way in the museum.
If you are interested in a “touch tour” of the museum, please contact us at least one month in advance. You can touch dinosaur sculptures, real fossils, and more!
