August 13, 2012. Registration will open on July 14.
The Creation Museum will once again host the Bob Jones University Science and Technology Ministry Team this fall for a week of Robotics workshops. Though members can receive their normal 10 percent discount on workshop tickets all week long, Monday has been set aside for members to attend special extended workshops for free!
Available times are 10:00, 2:00, and 5:00. Visit our event calendar to learn more about workshop times for the rest of the week.
The program is intended for kids in 4th grade through 12th grade. This is a great opportunity for homeschool families and others with an interest in robotics, computers, or learning more about Bob Jones University.
The team teaches students to program robots using Lego Mindstorms NXT. You can build a robot, then program it to respond to your clap, recognize certain colors, or execute a special mission. In this workshop, teens will explore computer technology and put their problem-solving skills to the test. This eye-opening session will help you appreciate the complexities of God’s creation through the exciting study of robotics.
Registration is required and will open eight weeks prior to the event. All time slots are expected to fill up very quickly, so register early.
“We had a great family time and also enjoyed meeting other members and their families. Thanks for offering such a fun evening to our family. . . . There was obviously a lot of thought and care that went into planning this event. Thanks for all the kindness :)”
