Family Fishing and Camping

June 8–9, 2013

Register for Event
(opens April 13, closes June 3)

Our most popular event returns—an annual opportunity for members to fish in our three-acre lake!

As the museum is closing and everyone else is going home, stick around to enjoy an evening of fishing, fellowship, and picnicking in the gardens. Additional activities include visiting the Petting Zoo (open extended hours) and playing volleyball with new friends.

Camping Option

Spend the night camped out in a field next to the Botanical Gardens. Clean restrooms and showers will be available. On Sunday morning we’ll finish up with a special devotional service led by one of AiG’s popular speakers.

Event Itinerary:

4:00 to 6:30 PM: Check-in at front of museum
4:00 PM: Camping area open for setup
4:30 to 9:30 PM: Campfire available for picnicking

Please note that no food, fishing equipment, or camping equipment will be provided by the museum. Camping equipment must be carried from the parking lot to the camping field. Participants (or legal guardians) will be required to sign a liability waiver.

Registration is required and will open eight weeks prior to the event. There is no charge to attend, and fishing licenses are not required. Space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot.

This event is open to guests. As a participating member, feel free to bring along additional family and friends.

“We had a great family time and also enjoyed meeting other members and their families. Thanks for offering such a fun evening to our family. . . . There was obviously a lot of thought and care that went into planning this event. Thanks for all the kindness :)”
