  • Featured Presenter: Dr. Georgia Purdom "The Genetics of Adam and Eve"

    Feature Presentations - Aug 1st at 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Dr. Georgia Purdom "The Genetics of Adam and Eve"

    with Georgia Purdom

These powerful presentations from Answers in Genesis’ dynamic speakers examine a variety of topics including the relevance of Genesis in today’s world.

One of the biggest debates in evangelical Christianity today is whether or not Adam and Eve were real people. Sadly many Christian theologians and scientists believe that genetics has disproven the existence of an original couple specially created by God. In addition to accommodate a non-literal Adam and Eve, many have begun to redefine sin and salvation. In this presentation we will explore both the theological importance of Adam and Eve to the gospel and how the science of genetics supports and is consistent with the fact that all humans have descended from an original couple created by God as described in Genesis.

Bryan Osborne "Dinosaur Delusion: Dragons, Dinosaurs, and the Bible"

    with Bryan Osborne

These powerful presentations from Answers in Genesis’ dynamic speakers examine a variety of topics including the relevance of Genesis in today’s world.

Dragons and Dinosaurs! Few things ignite our imagination the way these mysterious creatures do! But what is the truth behind the legends? Were dragons real? When did dinosaurs actually roam the earth? Are they mentioned in the Bible? II Corinthians 10:5 tells us to, “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ”. Come and see how when we build our thinking on the foundation of God’s Word we have answers to these questions and more!

    Feature Presentations - Aug 1st at 8:00pm – 9:00pm

Dr. Andrew Snelling "Origin of Coal and Oil"

    with Andrew Snelling

These powerful presentations from Answers in Genesis’ dynamic speakers examine a variety of topics including the relevance of Genesis in today’s world.

There is abundant evidence that coal beds are the result of the catastrophic burial of huge masses of vegetation, and not from peat layers formed by the plants growing in swamps over thousands of years as claimed by evolutionary geologists. Oil contains chemicals that indicate it is primarily of plant origin. Some oil accumulations are associated with adjacent coal beds from which the oil was derived. Most other oil accumulations are derived from marine algae buried in sedimentary layers. The processes of compressing the buried vegetation and converting it to coal, and of extracting oil from the buried algae and coal beds were rapid, as can be verified in the laboratory. These processes and timescales are totally consistent with this happening in the year of the recent global Flood and since.
